WB Reviews is a product-review module developed by WALDBYTE for PrestaShop. It combines moderated star ratings, verified purchases, product questions and answers, customer photos, comments and helpful voting in one multilingual workflow.

Authenticity and fair moderation

Products without approved feedback do not show misleading zero-rating stars. When moderation is active, every new contribution remains pending, including verified purchases. The intended policy applies the same relevance and authenticity rules to positive, neutral and negative reviews. The optional home-page block appears only after a configurable threshold of useful written reviews and does not select content by positive sentiment.

Privacy-oriented design

• Unticked publication and privacy acknowledgement before every public customer contribution.
• Shortened public customer names; email addresses remain private.
• Customer images are decoded and re-encoded to remove EXIF and GPS metadata.
• No email-open tracking pixel.
• Retention routines for contact, abuse-prevention, mail and activity data.
• Integration with PrestaShop customer data export and erasure actions.

Important: automatic post-order review-request emails are technically disabled in version 2.0.3. They must remain disabled until a separate, voluntary, provable and revocable consent process is implemented. Shop configuration and legal notices must be reviewed for the merchant's individual use case; the module does not replace legal advice.
