EU Order Withdrawal Button | OpenCart 2026
Add a customer-facing EU withdrawal function to OpenCart with guest access, full or partial requests, verification, admin review, order statuses and automatic emails.
Online withdrawal workflow for OpenCart
For many B2C online shops, an online withdrawal function has been required since 19 June 2026.
EU Order Withdrawal Button for OpenCart adds a customer-facing withdrawal button, a structured request form, an administration workflow and automatic email notifications for consumer withdrawal requests. Customers can submit a request directly from the storefront without logging in.
Instead of processing withdrawal requests through scattered emails, the extension gives customers a clear “Withdraw from contract” process and gives merchants a dedicated administration area for reviewing, approving or rejecting requests.

Full-order and partial-item requests
Customers can request withdrawal from the entire order or select individual items for a partial request. The extension verifies the request with order information such as the order ID, invoice number, customer name or email address, helping reduce incorrect and fraudulent submissions.
Administration workflow
Dedicated order statuses are created automatically:
- Withdrawal Requested
- Withdrawal Approved
- Withdrawal Rejected
Merchants can review every submission in the administration area, add an optional decision note and approve or reject the request. The module supports OpenCart’s standard “Notify Customer” behavior when these statuses are selected in the normal order-history interface.

Why store owners need a structured withdrawal process
EU consumer-rights rules require an easily accessible online withdrawal function for covered distance contracts concluded through an online interface. This extension adds the technical process to OpenCart without requiring a custom implementation.
It keeps requests organized, improves communication and provides both the customer and merchant with a clear history of the request and decision.
Compatibility
- OpenCart 2: 2.0.0.0 through 2.3.0.2
- OpenCart 3: 3.x
- OpenCart 4: 4.x, including 4.1.0.0
- Other OpenCart versions: available on request at no additional cost
Important legal notice
This extension supplies the technical workflow for withdrawal and cancellation requests. It does not provide or replace legal advice and does not automatically make a shop legally compliant.
Merchants must ensure that store policies, withdrawal information, button wording, legal pages, exceptions and processing rules are correct for their business model, products, target countries and applicable law. Legal content should be reviewed by a qualified professional.
